Sangha Night

“So I have shown you how the Dhamma is similar to a raft, being for the purpose of crossing over, not for the purpose of grasping”- From the ‘Simile of the Snake

In this Sangha Night series we’ve been looking at Buddhist wisdom by focussing on the Middle Way.   The Buddha is the source of all this.  He taught the Dharma ‘by the middle’, not veering towards the extreme views that either everything exists eternally or that nothing exists at all.  That teaching comes directly from his Enlightenment in which he saw that life was vivid and dynamic, but with no fixed unchanging core.   It is a teaching that is clear and yet profoundly anti-dogmatic.

How did the Buddha teach?  And why does it matter to us today?   Come and join us!

With Vimalavajri

This is our community night! It is suitable for those who have completed an introductory course with us at any time.

Doors open at 7:15pm for a 7:30pm start.

We rely on your donations to keep our doors open and our classes running. It is due to the gifts of those who have come along previously that we are here now sharing meditation and Buddhism. To be part of this continuing flow of care and generosity to others, please do donate here.

Our aim is to inspire a culture of generosity in the way we share Buddhist teachings. Therefore all our meditation and Buddhism activities are offered on a generosity basis – what you contribute is left to your generosity. You don't have to give anything if you don't want to or can't afford to, but we hope you'll be able to contribute appropriately so more people can benefit. To learn more see donate
