White Tara Puja

White Tara Puja

She sits in full lotus meditation posture, her right hand rests on her right knee, turned outwards to give to all beings. Her left hand rests in front of her heart. Her skin shines with the light of a ‘million autumn moons’. Her 7 eyes radiate awareness and wisdom. Protector of the 3 jewels, her compassionate action arises from a moment to moment awareness of how things really are. White Tara sees and understands before she acts. Through her practice, we are urged to cultivate a long full life of purpose.

As the light returns, and we enter the new moon phase of the lunar cycle, we invite you to welcome White Tara into your body, heart and minds, and into every cell of your being. Through ritual, mantra, poetry and meditation, we will come together in community to evoke the qualities of White Tara and explore connecting to this radiant Bodhisattva, as we ask ourselves:

How can we live a more fulfilled life – a life of purpose?

What is holding us back?

Are there parts of our life that we can bring more compassion to?

How can we resource ourselves to meet our own suffering and the suffering of others with compassionate wisdom?

How can we hold the 3 jewels close to our heart?

‘Oṃ Tāre Tuttāre Ture Mama Āyuḥ Puṇya Jñāna Puṣṭiṃ Kuru Svāhā’

We welcome you to join us from 7.00pm at the Bristol Buddhist Centre for chai and chocolate. We will gather in the Shrine Room from 7.20pm, ready to begin the puja at 7.30pm.  This event is suitable for Triratna regulars.

With Metta; Maitriyjoti, Alice, Gayle, Hazel and Thea.
