Sangha Sangha Night

We will continue our exploration of the Buddha Mandala that communicates the qualities of the awakened perspective.

On this evening we will explore Ratnasambhava, the jewel born, through meditation and puja. This week we be exploring the wisdom aspect of Ratnasambhava.

The specific wisdom of Ratnasambhava is the wisdom of ‘sameness’. The Buddha mind sees the distinctiveness of all things, their individuality and uniqueness, but it also sees their sameness. In the natural awareness of the Buddhas all of our experiences are seen with equal weight. When seeing in this way, the distortion that takes place through certain limiting perspective is seen through and the suffering that they cause can fall away. Normally we give additional weight to the thinking part of our experience, to our stories about experience and our lives. But is this simply a bias of our thinking, dualistic minds? Through a meditation we will explore how to look at our experience more with equal weight.

There will also be puja. This practice will explore poetically the qualities Ratnasambhava. Though the language of poetry and ritual we can come to a more non-conceptual, intuitive understanding of the qualities that are being spoken about.

Led by Naravira and Taranita
