MINDFUL MARK MAKING AND COLOUR

A change to our planned event. For this Make and Meditate session we will be looking at mindful mark making and colour. Using a variety of materials we will focus on mark making as a form of meditation with pen, brush, pencil and our fingers and hands. We aim to create a non-judgemental environment
that encourages us all to explore the connection between mind and body, fostering a sense of
presence and awareness, as we create our personal compositions. Our Make and Meditate
sessions welcome all and together, in this session, we hope to provide each other with space for
reflection, relaxation, self-discovery and FUN through the simple act of mark making and colour
exploration. Avalokiteshvara asked Amitabha ‘What is needed above all in the quest to awaken for
the sake of all beings?’ Amitabha replied ‘The Great Faith’. Avalokiteshvara then asked ‘What is
The Great Faith?’ In part of his lengthy reply Amitabha says ‘the faith that is like a child playing full
of joy’. Recently, I have been influenced by the work of Alma Thomas so in this session we will look
at some of her work too; look her up, she’s great! Come along on the 8th and let’s play!

The morning will end in meditation together.

Newcomers to the Buddhist Centre are welcome. No need to book – just turn up!

As always the morning will be run on generosity (by donation) and there will be opportunity to make a
donation if you are able and wish to. Or you can give here online.
