Come and join us for a morning of pebble painting.
Making marks on natural materials is such an ancient tradition with historical and cultural
significance. Indigenous peoples around the world continue to use rock art for sacred
purposes.
Pebble painting is a popular activity for all ages because it’s a creative and mindful outlet, a
way to express oneself, and can even be a therapeutic activity, while also allowing for the
potential to spread joy and kindness by leaving painted rocks for others to find. (RAOK-
Random Acts Of Kindness )
You can paint simple designs like geometric patterns, mandalas, or inspirational quotes, or
creating themed rocks like “You Rock” art, or even painting rocks to look like various animals
or objects.
No artistic experience necessary. All equipment will be provided. If you have a favourite rock
then feel free to bring it along.
