Vision and Daily Life - Introductory Weekend - CANCELLED
This event has already happened.
Please accept our apologies. We have had to cancel this event as the teacher is unwell with covid.
We hope to see you at another one of our events/classes. See the Newcomers page for more inspiration.
Vision and Daily Life | 23rd & 24th July | 10am – 5pm both days | in person
This weekend will help deepen your experience of meditation and Buddhism over the course of the weekend. The Buddhist vision helps meditation to be a real power for change in our daily lives. There will be input from the experienced teaching team plus an opportunity for small group discussions to share learning and ideas with each other.
The aim of this course is to start uncovering genuine ease, contentment and meaning in life through exploring profound yet simple Buddhist teachings and meditations. Come together with others to learn, discuss and discover the means to uncover how to become the change you want to see in the world.
To benefit most from this opportunity we strongly encourage you to commit to attending the whole of the weekend. It helps us if you book onto the weekend so we have an idea of numbers, but do feel free to show up on the day without having booked.
Do bring a vegetarian / vegan lunch to share!
If you need to cancel then please do so through the website or just email info@bristol-buddhist-centre.org so we can give the place to someone else. Thanks!
This course will allow you access to the ‘Sangha’ (community) events at the centre. Such as Sangha Night and the Sangha Meditation Class. We ask for this course as a prerequisite so you have the basic understanding needed to get the most from our other events. Sangha is a deeply supportive part of Buddhism and meditation practice.
All our classes are run on donations which means everyone, regardless of income, can learn about Buddhism and meditation. To keep this revolutionary approach going, please do give what you can! Running on generosity feels like a compassionate response to the world in amongst the consumerist culture we dwell in, which is why it’s so important to us.
