Science and Spirituality

It can sometimes seem that the scientist and the spiritual person are in two distinct camps. On the one hand, the scientist feels they are seeking answers to the mysteries of the universe by keeping their feet firmly on the ground, and maybe looks with disdain at the faith-without-evidence of the spiritual person. The spiritual person, on the other hand, while seeking answers to their own questions, perhaps looks condescendingly at the scientist’s faith in materialism. But are these characterisations accurate? More importantly, do we risk joining one of these camps, thereby isolating ourselves from tools and knowledge that could help us on our own path?

With guest teacher Taranita and the Bristol Young Buddhists Team.

For those aged 18-35. We welcome all gender identities. No need to book. See you there!

Our events run on donations. Without the generosity of people who have come before us, we wouldn’t be here! So if you’d like to ‘pass it on’ please do give a financial gift.
