This ceremonial handover of the chairship will mark the moment when Vimalavajri officially becomes chair.

Our current chair Bhadra will be saying farewell and we will be hearing Vimalavajri’s thoughts as she steps into her new role. This will be followed by a ritual in which the symbol of the Bristol chairship will be transferred. It’s a vishvavajra –  a double vajra.

The vajra (diamond thunderbolt) is a symbol of transcendental wisdom, transformation of the poisons, and compassionate action in the world. The double vajra is all that, intensified! What better symbol to mark this next phase of our Centre?

We will end with tea and cake!
