Mens residential weekend retreat: The Gap. at Anybody’s Barn
13-15th June
With Naravira and Manjurava
On this Mens Weekend Retreat we will be exploring ‘The Gap’.
The Buddha described the way to exit the wheel of life was from ‘The Gap’ between feeling and craving in the Nidana Chain. But what does this mean? And how can we practically explore this fundamental of Buddhist teachings?
On the retreat we will look at some of the theory of this teaching as well as practical exploration. We will go into the meaning of direct experience in the body, through various direct pointing exercises and look at how this can be useful in meditation and awareness in practice in general. We will also explore the Buddha’s description of how we can best develop awareness of our full human experience.
The retreat will be held at Anybody’s Barn in the Malvern Hills, a beautiful location that we have been using to hold weekend residential retreats for many years.
As well a being on retreat and relaxing in the countryside there will an opportunity to explore the area on Saturday through a led walk.
The retreat is open to all those who have completed our 12 week Introductory Course at the centre as well as to all Mitras and Order Members. The retreat is suitable for all those who identify as male.
The accommodation is in small dorms of 3 and 4 and there is a limit of about 18 places, so early booking is advised (see link below to book).
When you book on the retreat you will be sent a full information pack.
