Communication Weekend: Becoming who we already are. 29/30 March.
With Dharmamrta and Bhadra. Please note 11 – 5 Saturday. 12 – 9 Sunday . There is a bookable second weekend 17/18 May. Come to either or both.
What is it to be who we truly are. The ‘true individual’ is essential to a healthy spiritual community, says the founder of this movement.
A way to discover our unique path and individuality is within relationship.
We will draw on the story of the friendship between Narcissus and Goldmund, by Herman Hesse to explore the paths of spirit and soul and what it is to be truly seen, even when we do not see ourselves.
“Narcissus looked at him gravely: ‘I take you seriously when you are Goldmund, but you are not always Goldmund. All I wish for is that you become Goldmund through and through…. You believe that you are not learned enough for me, not enough of a logician or not devout enough. Not at all – but you are not enough yourself for me”
These weekends are an invitation to discover more of who we are in a kind, facilitated space. Through simple exercises, reflection and open group process work we use the collective mirror of awareness to discover that which binds and that which frees us into ourselves. We will explore, through communication, how to become more of who we already are, in the hope that this will support the healthy life of our community and our own liberation.

“In essence, a spiritual community is a free association of individuals. To form one, therefore the first requirement is a number of individuals… A spiritual community is not created by getting a building, an exotic form of dress, and a long list of rules. You don’t need a building, you don’t need an “authentic tradition”; you don’t even need a religion. What you need are individuals.”
