An evening on the Karuna Trust – Saturday 9th March
Karuna means ‘compassion in action’. Inspired by Buddhist values, Karuna exists to end caste-based discrimination in India and Nepal. Find out about the work of Karuna with some of the most disadvantaged people in the world, and how you can support the work to continue by doing a Karuna Appeal – a 6 week urban fundraising retreat.
Recently described as ‘rocket fuel for the Dharma life’, a Karuna Appeal is a unique experience that can take your Buddhist practice deeper and be a hugely transformative experience, whilst also making a significant difference to the lives of others in the world.
“Why are Karuna appeals such effective spiritual practice? Because you are doing something for others.” – Urgyen Sangharakshita
To find out more, join us on Saturday 9th March, 7.30 – 9.30pm.
