Beginners' Drop-in Meditation Classes

  Tuesdays, 7.30 - 10.00pm

For those wishing to learn meditation and find out about Buddhism. Meditation is usually taught and led through in the first half of the evening and, following a tea break, there is often a talk about some aspect of Buddhism with a chance for questions and discussion. There are also groups for those who have already been attending the Centre for a while.

Suggested donation £7/£5. No need to book.

Meditation is a means to self-awareness, change, and spiritual insight.

On the 2nd Saturday morning of the month, you can learn the two fundamental Buddhist meditation practices: 'The Mindfulness of Breathing', which enhances our awareness and peace of mind and 'The Metta Bhavana' - 'the development of loving kindness', which brings about a gentle but potentially radical transformation in our emotional experience.

 

Suitable for complete beginners and those with some experience.

Suggested donation £12 (£8 conc) but give what you can afford!

Introduction to Meditation Course

Meditation can bring us home to ourselves.  We can learn to relax into the way things are and hot to access the inner spaciousness, stillness and positivity that are always there in potential.  Our six week introductory courses provide a grounding in all the basics you need to begin to develop an effective meditation practice.  No previous experience required.
